The College List & Selection Process

Perhaps nothing conjures up as much excitement as learning about and visiting colleges. At Custom College Consulting, we don’t think we’re doing our job if we haven’t recommended a college of which you have not heard. Indeed, we spend countless hours visiting colleges throughout the United States and abroad to gain an understanding of each school’s unique campus culture. We also read and analyze all of the latest online and print publications.

After developing a list with our consultants, the next step is to visit colleges to get a sense of the experience a student may be looking for on the college level.

Unlike many college counselors, we will walk students step-by-step through the process of scheduling college visits; who to meet with and when; how to make an impression with an admissions officer; and much more.

In order to select the final colleges to which you will apply, we look carefully at your notes from each visit and help determine the most important priorities in your college choice.
